Privacy Policy
Vaagoo (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides the Vaagoo Rider mobile application for delivery partners who fulfil Vaagoo customer orders. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from riders, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect
- Rider account: name, mobile number, password, and vehicle details stored when your rider profile is created by Vaagoo.
- Precise location: GPS latitude/longitude while you are signed in and using the app for active deliveries, so customers can live-track their order and so we can support fulfilment.
- Delivery work data: assigned orders, pickup/delivery status updates, navigation actions you start from the app, and COD payment method/reference you enter when collecting cash/UPI.
- Device & usage: basic technical data (device type, OS, IP address, crash/diagnostic logs) needed to run the service securely.
2. How we use your information
- Authenticate you as a delivery partner and manage your rider session
- Assign and show delivery jobs, pickup points, and customer drop-off details needed for the job
- Share live location with customers for order tracking during delivery
- Record delivery completion and COD collection for operations and accounting
- Improve the Rider app, prevent fraud/misuse, and provide support
- Comply with legal and tax obligations
3. Location permission
Vaagoo Rider requests location access so we can update your position while you are delivering. You can deny or revoke location permission in Android settings; without it, live customer tracking and some delivery features may not work. We use location for delivery operations only — not for unrelated advertising.
4. Sharing of information
We may share necessary data with:
- Customers (e.g. approximate rider location, name/phone when assigned) to track and complete their order
- Vaagoo operations / admin staff and restaurants or sellers involved in the order
- Maps/navigation apps you open (Google Maps or similar) under their own policies
- IT/hosting providers that power our infrastructure
- Authorities when required by law
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention & security
We keep rider account and delivery records as long as needed for operations, accounting, dispute handling, and legal requirements. Live location updates are used for active tracking and operational history. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Your choices & rights
- Sign out of the Rider app at any time
- Turn location permission off in Android settings
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your rider data where applicable by contacting Vaagoo

7. Children
Vaagoo Rider is intended only for authorised adult delivery partners. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
8. Third-party services
The app may open phone dialer, maps, or other system/third-party apps. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Vaagoo Rider after an update means you accept the revised policy.
